Cervantès Saavedra (Miguel de) Novelas Exemplares, title with woodcut printer's device, woodcut head-pieces and decorative initials, lacking final blank, title with a few small red ink spots and an ink signature, 2G1 & 11 repaired with loss of text supplied, closely trimmed at head, some staining, especially in sig. P, occasional spotting, lightly browned, contemporary limp vellum, [Mateu 693], 12mo (131 x 73mm.), Milan, Giovanni Battista Bidelli, 1615.
⁂ A rare edition at auction of these twelve novellas in the Italian style, which influenced the English stage, including adaptations by Fletcher and Middleton.
