Livius (Titus) The Romane Historie, first edition in English, translated by Philemon Holland, large woodcut device on title, woodcut portrait of Queen Elizabeth on title verso and of Livy on verso of A4, lacking initial and final blank leaves, some light water-staining, mostly to lower edge and corner, 2 leaves with small burn-hole causing very slight loss of text, generally a good, crisp copy, contemporary calf, rebacked, joints cracking, rubbed, [STC 16613; Pforzheimer 495], folio, Printed by Adam Islip, 1600.
