This simple trompe l'oeil print is a witty homage to artist Gerhard Richter's 1967 'Blattecke', which was signed with a partial signature of 'ichter' by the artist. Pichler, whose name is strikingly similar to that of his predecessor, nods towards this by signing the present work 'ichler'.
