Albrecht Dürer (1471-1528) The Prodigal Son, engraving, circa 1496, a good Meder g/h impression, on laid paper with watermark of grapes with stem and the letters 'A P' [Meder's watermark no. 130, datable to circa 1565], sheet 242 x 189 mm. (9 1/2 x 7 3/8 in), trimmed within the platemark to image, affixed at corners onto paper support, surface dirt and faint spotting and browning in places (unframed)
