Cecil (William, first Baron Burghley, royal minister, Lord Treasurer and member of the Court of Wards, 1520/21-98) Indenture lease granting on behalf of Queen Elizabeth land and tenements in the manor of Scroby [Scrooby, Nottinghamshire] to Richard Williamson, son of John Williamson, D.s. "William Burghley" and ?"Thomas Seckford", manuscript on vellum, small rust mark affecting three words, folds, slightly browned, 2 seal tags, lacks seals, 210 x 455mm., 6th July 1584.
