Poems, first edition, second issue, advertisement f., this issue without the errata or publisher's catalogue, presentation inscription from Herbert Asquith signed "O" to front free endpaper, Westleys & Co. binders label to rear pastedown, bookplates to pastedown, original ribbed green cloth with harp design to covers, spine faded and affixed with tape, spine 1" portion of loss to head, chipped at foot, corners a little bumped, covers faded, [Smith 1 pp.6-14], 8vo, Smith, Elder and Co., 1846 [but 1848].

A copy of this scarce early collection of poetry with an interesting provenance, the copy is presented to a friend "R.D." and signed "O" as Asquith by this point was Lord Oxford.
