New Zealand.- Angas (George French) The New Zealanders Illustrated, first edition, additional hand-coloured pictorial tinted lithographed title, lithographed calligraphic dedication, list of subscribers, 60 hand-coloured tinted lithographed plates, occasional light marginal foxing but generally a very good clean copy, bookplate of Peter Dowding Prankerd, later ink inscription to front free endpaper, contemporary half green morocco, rubbed, rebacked preserving old spine, [Abbey, Travel 589; Tooley 61], folio, 1847.

Peter Dowding Prankerd (1819-1902), emigrated from Bristol to Adelaide, South Australia, in 1839 where he acquired a vast fortune working as a land developer and mine operator.
