Paré (Ambroise) The Workes...Three Tractates out of Adrianus Spigelius of the Veines, Arteries, & Nerves, translated by Thomas Johnson, 2 parts in 1, second edition in English, engraved title with portrait and medical scenes by T.Cecill, numerous woodcuts in text, second part with 4 full-page woodcut illustrations on 3 sheets (one on both sides, all trimmed with slight loss), errata leaf at end, title soiled and frayed at edges (old tape stains to inner margin) and with unobtrusive ink library stamp, dedication lacking top outer corner not affecting text (repaired), light water-staining towards end, tear to head of Pp5 and foot of III1 affecting a few lines but no loss (latter repaired), later half calf, rubbed, rebacked preserving old spine, new label, corners repaired, [Wellcome IV, 295; Wing P349], folio, by Richard Cotes and Will. Dugard, and are to be sold by John Clarke, 1649.
