⁂ An excellent early issue without the four starred plates. Arabian Antiquities was published serially between 1815 and 1816 with the complete volume offered later that same year. Cadell and Davies continued to reprint the plates until their dissolution at which point H.G.Bohn acquired the matrices.

Architect and antiquary, James Cavanah Murphy went to Cadiz in 1802 and spent seven years studying Moorish architecture. On his return he spent the five years until his death in 1814 preparing his notes on Arabian architecture for this superb posthumous publication.
