Picasso (Pablo, Spanish painter, sculptor, printmaker, ceramicist, stage designer, poet and playwright, 1881-1973) Autograph Reply signed on a Typed Letter signed by Dr Henry Roland, 1p. in French, sm. 4to, Hockering Gardens, Woking, Surrey, 11th March 1956 and Picasso's reply Cannes, France, 15th March 1956, Picasso writes in response to an enquiry by Roland, in which he mentions that he lent Bristol Museum one of your sketches and sending a photo of the exhibit. Sidney Janis has reproduced the final picture in his book and Douglas Cooper believes it is painted in oils, to which Picasso has written "Non", and the Director of the Museum considers it a gouache, to which Picasso replies "Oui", fold; and a reproduction of a letter by Picasso, sm. 4to (2).
