Derbyshire.- Cuitt the Younger (George, 1779-1854), Chapel ruin, Lower Burton, near Misham, Yorkshire; River landscape with Church, a pair of watercolours, the former a design for an etching published in 'Wanderings and Pencillings Amongst Ruins of the Olden Time' published by Cuitt, point of the brush, sepia wash, over traces of graphite on wove paper, both dated '1825', each c.125 x 190 mm., (4 7/8 x 7 1/2 in); together with 3 leaves from a sketchbook by Cuitt with inscriptions, one with a graphite study of horses dated '1819'; and with a copy of Wanderings and Pencillings Amongst Ruins of the Olden Time, 73 etchings by George Cuitt the Younger, half morocco, spine gilt with red morocoo label, folio, worn, published by the artist, 1855 (Qty.)
