Bath.- Nattes (John Claude) Bath, Illustrated by a Series of Views...With Descriptions to Each Plate, half-title, hand-coloured aquatint title vignette, 28 plates and a near full-page illustration, a few plates with slight offsetting, the odd spot and some light finger marking, contemporary diced russia, gilt, worn at extremities, spine with some loss and a small tape repair, [Abbey, Scenery 41; Tooley 340], folio, London & Bristol, 1806.
⁂ An excellent copy of Nattes' iconic views of Bath. These include the Royal Crescent, the Pump Room, and the Concert-Room, as well as general views of the city, contemporary with Jane Austen's residence in the city. According to Abbey, "the apparent scarcity of the book would appear to argue for a limited circulation".
