Noble Italian provenance: Valerius Maximus (Gaius) Facta et dicta memorabilia. Comm: Oliverius Arzignanensis, collation: a-z & [con]8 [rum]10, 209 ff. (of 210, lacking final blank), 62 lines of commentary and headline, Roman letter, a few woodcut decorative initials, initial spaces with guide-letters, occasional 16th century ink marginalia, a1 repair verso within text, affected letters supplied in ink, p1 outer margin repaired, [con]2 with small marginal repair, repairs within text to last 3 ff., with loss, occasional small wormholes or traces within text, closely trimmed at head and outer edge, stained, lightly browned, 18/19th century vellum, orange leather label to spine, folio (276 x 198mm.), Venice, Bartholomaeus de Zanis, 22 March, 1497.

⁂ Provenance: The Balduini family of Trento, Northern Italy (a ms. coat of arms to title and various 16th century ink inscriptions to title and margins, including Franciscus multiple times).
