⁂ One of the first printings of Feynman's famous and visionary after-dinner lecture, 'There's plenty of room at the bottom,' recognised as the birth of nanotechnology, given in 1959 in Pasadena at the American Physical Society's Winter Meeting of the West. Delivered without notes, a transcript from recordings was first printed in the February 1960 issue of the California Institute of Technology Journal of Engineering and Science. Here, the first readily attainable printed version, presents slightly enlarged argument.
