woodblock print, blue ground, from the series A Kintaro Series (Kintaro zukushi), signed Ichieisai Yoshitsuya, censors' seals Kinugasa (Kinugasa Fusajiro) and Watanabe (Watanabe Gentaro), published by Ebiya Rinnosuke (Kaijudo), circa 1849-50
Vertical oban: 37 x 24.9 cm.
Condition Report:
Good impression and colour, light backing, minor toning, minor wormage beneath the title cartouche, further wormage to the foot of Kintaro patched from verso and with associated re-touching, the top left and right corners with small repairs, the reverse with small pencil and ink inscriptions
