West (Jules Karel van, binder).- Valéry (Paul) Analecta ex Mss...Tomus I, number 165 of 300 copies for subscribers on Van Gelder, from an edition limited to 403, this copy for Monsieur Paul Marteau, printed in red & black, bound in handsome dark brown morocco, by Jules Karel van West, covers with large V and superimposed inverted V each made up of 9 parallel lines in gilt with small lozenges of inlaid gilt and black triangles at intersections, upper cover with title in gilt, titled in gilt down flat spine, turn-ins with triple gilt fillet and inlaid narrow strip of paler brown morocco, reddish-brown silk moiré doublures and endpapers (very slightly fraying at edges), gilt marbled flyleaves, signed at foot of front turn-in, t.e.g, others uncut, marbled paper chemise (spine faded) and board slip-case, the latter with mounted design for upper cover and spine painted in gilt (slightly rubbed), small 4to (binding c.225 x 180mm.), Maastricht & The Hague, Alexander Stols, 1926.
