Lucianus Samosatensis. Dialogoi, editio princeps, second issue, Florence, Laurentius Francisci de Alopa, 1496 bound with Philostratus of Lemnos. Icones – Heroica [&] Callistratus. Descriptiones. – Vitae Sophistarum, Florence, Filippo Giunta, October, 1517, collation: A-B8 α-ϖ, αα-ηη8 including last blank [Philostratus] a-f8 g6, Greek text, 42 and 55 lines, initial spaces, many with guide-letters, woodcut device on verso of final leaf, contemporary and later ink annotations, often extensive, in Latin and Greek, wide margins, water-staining, sometimes quite heavy and mottled, modern brown morocco skilfully preserving contemporary blind-stamped calf covers, panelled with border of rope-work tools and horizontal rows of rope-work cross stamps, four ties (renewed), edges gilt and gauffered, folio (338 x 235mm.)

*** Editio princeps, second issue, with the Philostratus, complete as issued by Giunta utilizing Lorenzo de Alopa's remainder sheets in 1517. For that purpose he printed a title, also listing works by Philostratus of Lemnos and the sophist Callistratus, which he evidently intended to market together with the Lucian, as this copy.
