Gill (Eric) Collection of 62 wood engravings on 36 sheets for "Troilus and Criseyde", comprising 31 sheets signed and numbered from an edition of 10, 2 inscribed proofs and 3 unsigned and unnumbered, Gill reference numbers and page numbers relating to the published work in pencil to margins, the odd marginal spot, on various handmade papers tipped into morocco-backed album, with pencil inscription "Evan Gill Collection" in pencil to front free endpaper, spotting to spine, corners a little bumped, 4to, 1926-27.
⁂ An excellent collection of wood engraved prints from the first of Gill's major works for the Golden Cockerel Press. Included are all of the full-page illustrations found in the published work as well as numerous examples of the elaborate marginal decorations. A full listing of the relevant Physick numbers is available on request.
