George VI (King of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland) & Queen Elizabeth, consort, 1900-2002.- Wilding (Dorothy) Portrait photographs, each signed "George R" and dated 1949 and "Elizabeth R" and dated 1949 underneath on the paper mounts, printed 'Dorothy Wilding' in the photograph, both further laid down on card, each 410 x 295mm., 1949.
⁂ Dorothy Wilding (1893-1976), royal photographer, having taken official portraits at the Coronation of King George VI, as well as photographing the King for use on currency and stamps. Wilding becoming the first female photographer to receive a Royal Warrant.
