Shakespeare Head Press.- Froissart (Sir John) Froissarts Cronycles, 2 vol. in 8, number 311 of 350 sets on paper, numerous hand-coloured coats-of-arms to titles and in margins, maps hand-coloured in outline, bound in vellum with hand-coloured floral horizontal bands across covers incorporating gilt-stamped goatskin onlays (two shields & crown to upper covers and seated stag to lower), spines titled in gilt down spine within hand-coloured floral frame, by Cowlishaw Bookbinding, t.e.g., others uncut, Oxford, Shakespeare Head Press, for Basil Blackwell, 1927-28; with the 4 magnesium dies used for the emblem onlays housed in a vellum-backed cloth drop-back box with examples of the onlays mounted on spine, 8vo (9)
