This dollhouse is a replica of the artist's own home, an 1872 Victorian townhouse located in London's East End. To make the house a home, Shonibare styled its interior with furniture in various wood finishes, designs and upholsteryincluding the artist's signature Dutch wax print fabric used across many of his projects. The finished home includes cabinets, chairs, tables, fireplaces, and even a canopy bed, along with reproductions of paintings by Shonibare and Jean-Honore Fragonard.
