Pertusier (Charles) Promenades Pittoresques dans Constantinople et sur les Rives du Bosphore, 4 vol., inc Atlas, first edition, half-titles, 25 aquatints, of which 4 double-page, scattered spotting, mostly to text vol., vol. 1 & 2 contemporary calf-backed boards, a little rubbed, vol. 2 & Atlas sympathetically rebound in modern calf-backed boards, vol. 3 ?trimmed (a little smaller than vols. 2 & 3), [Atabey 941; Blackmer 1292], 8vo & folio, Paris, H. Nicolle, 1815-17.

Pertusier spent several years in Constantinople working as an aide-de-camp to General Andreossy. "His charming work on the city is finely illustrated by engravings after Michel-François Préault, an architect who was resident in Constantinople until at least 1827." (Atabey)
