Mayer (Luigi) Views in the Ottoman Empire, chiefly in Caramania, first edition, text in English and French, 24 hand-coloured aquatints, one with minor creasing to corner, faint off-setting, cracked hinges, later cloth, rebacked, a little rubbed, slight bumping to corners and extremities, [Atabey 787; Blackmer 1098], folio, 1803.

⁂ 'The plates in Mayer's Caramania were not reprinted in any other of his works, including Watts's edition. These plates, however, were used by Josiah Spode for a set of blue and white transfer ware pottery known under the name, 'Caramania'. (Blackmer)
