Kallimachou hymnoi, edited by Aldus Manutius, collation: *8 1-238 244, dedication italic type, text Greek type, initial spaces with guide-letters, lacking final blank, repair to upper margin of title, occasional spotting, lightly browned, late 18th century red crushed morocco, gilt, spine in compartments, covers with double filet borders, spine neatly restored (including later gilt rules), g.e., 8vo (150 x 85mm.), [Venice], [House of Aldus & Andrea Torresani], [January, 1513].
⁂ Editio princeps in Aldus' portable octavo format. He dedicated the work to his friend Andrea Navagero.
Provenance: Wilmot, Earl of Lisburne (engraved armorial bookplate with ms. slip beneath 'North side, Case 3. Shelf 9. N.21'; Maggs Bros., August, 1956 (pencil note at rear).
