Rushdie (Salman) Original drawing of view from villa in France, pen and inks, signed "Salman Rushdie July 1981" and inscribed "The Terrace 3 Place de l'Eglise, Tourrette pas France (with hat)" both to lower right-hand corner, c.400 x 290mm (16 x 11½ in), corner-tipped onto mount, one or two very faint spots to edges, under glass, framed, 1981.
⁂ A rare drawing from the revered author. Sketched from the view while staying at a villa in France, possibly owned by Liz Calder, publisher of his first work Grimus (1975).
