Churchill (Sir Winston Spencer) The River War, 2 vol., first edition, second state with typographical correction to p.459 in vol.2, half-titles, photogravure frontispieces, 5 plates, 24 maps, of which 20 folding, illustrations, some light foxing, original pictorial cloth, gilt, inner hinge to vol.1 a little cracked, very slight shelf-lean, slightly rubbed, label removed from upper cover vol.2 leaving some marks and discolouring, 8vo, 1899.
