Astronomy.- Sacrobosco (Iohannes) Libellus de Sphæra, with the preface by Philip Melanchthon (1531), woodcut device to title, woodcut illustrations and diagrams, with final two blanks, title working loose at foot, [VD16 J 728], Wittenberg, Johann Krafft, 1550, bound with Beyer (Hartmann) Quaestiones novae in libellum de sphaera Joannis de sacro busto, woodcut printer's device to title and final leaf verso, d1 closed tear affecting text but no loss, [VD16 B 2492], Frankfurt, Peter Braubach, 1549, together 2 in 1, manuscript ink ownership inscriptions, a few other markings and single marginal note, a little worming to peripheral leaves, affecting text but no major loss, browning, some minor marginal soiling, contemporary vellum over boards stamped in blind, worming to boards (pastedowns) and extremities, toned; and a defective copy of Ptolomaeus' 'Omnia Quae Extant Opera', lacking star maps by Johannes Honter and signature T supplied with leaves from another edition, v.s.
