[New Testament and Evangeliare], double column, printed in red and black, 2 repeated title-borders and 4 fine full-page woodcuts showing the Evangelists, some staining to margins, superb Italian gilt silver binding dated 1744, over wooden boards and a cloth spine, covers showing the Crucifixion and the Ascension within a border of vines surmounted by the Virgin and Child ,corner medallions on upper cover showing Saints Constantine, Helena, Charalambos and George, those on lower cover showing the Evangelists, cover joined by five chains made up of eight links with floral ornament, two clasps with ties showing a pair of Saints, with two maker's marks (monogram JB and small floral design), gauffered gilt edges, preserved in modern suede-lined morocco drop-back box, folio (binding 334 x 250mm.), Venice, Nikolaos Glykis, 1718.
