Norton" to head of vol. 2 title, bookplate of William Stirling-Maxwell to front pastedowns, spines gilt in compartments, vol. 2 with some chipping, extremities a little rubbed, 8vo, William Pickering, 1829.

⁂ An excellent literary association, inscribed to author and social reformer Caroline Norton (1808-1877). Caroline Norton married her long-standing friend Sir William Stirling-Maxwell in 1877, shortly before her death the same year.
