Bible, German.- Biblia, Das ist die gantze heylige Schrifft: Deutsch Auffs new zugericht, translated by Martin Luther, 3 parts in 1, collation: ?8 A-Z, Aa- Zz, Aaa-Xxx6 Yyy4 : A-Z, aa-yy6 zz4: [*]6 Aa-Zz, Aaa-Ggg6 Hhh4, 3Y4 blank, Gothic letter, two titles printed in red and black, numerous full-page and smaller woodcutillustrations after Lucas Cranach, Georg Lemberger and Hans Brosamer, historiated woodcut initials, woodcut illustration of the ascension to final imprimatur f., light toning to title and a few other leaves but very clean generally, contemporary German blind-stamped pigskin over wooden boards, brass fore-edge clasps, "Die Gantz Bibel" stamp to upper cover, spine ends and corners repaired, endpaper renewed, folio (310 x 203 mm.), Nuremberg, Johann vom Berg & Ulrich Neuber, 1550.
