Egan (Pierce) Finish to the Adventures of Tom, Jerry, and Logic, in their Pursuits through Life in and out of London , first edition, first issue with engraved title dated 1829 and woodcuts on pp.7, 40 & 42, bound from the original 12 parts, hand-coloured aquatint frontispiece and 35 plates by and after Robert Cruikshank except for one plate by George Cruikshank, wood-engraved title-vignette and illustrations, some marginal soiling, one or two plates with small tears to edges (repaired), stab-holes, bookplate of George Seton Veitch, later crushed scarlet morocco, gilt, by Zaehnsdorf, spine gilt, t.e.g., others uncut, with most of the very rare original printed front and rear pictorial wrappers to original parts bound in at end (lacking only upper wrapper to Part I, a little soiled, one or two small stains), spine very slightly rubbed and faded, [Abbey, Life 284-285; Bobins 1337; Cohn 264; Tooley 197], 8vo, 1830.
