Birds.- Hancock (John) A Fasciculus of Eight Drawings on Stone of Groups of Birds, first edition, lithograph title (torn and loose) and 8 plates, 2pp. list of subscribers at end, foxed throughout, original lithograph printed wrappers, sewn as issued, spotted and soiled, [Nissen 408; Fine Bird Books, p.80; not in Anker, Wood or Zimmer], folio, Newcastle upon Tyne, Published by the Author, 1853.
⁂ Original subscriber's copy - the name of John Wolley appearing in the list at the end alongside many from Newcastle and the surrounding area. Five of the plates are of birds of prey with one, curiously, showing a Leopard cub reposing!
