Baskerville.- Holy Bible (The), 2 parts in 1, title in first state dated 1769, without the engraved frontispiece and 9 plates (not found in all copies), a few small stains (mostly to final few leaves) but generally an excellent clean copy, short tear to fore-edge of 13I2 affecting a few letters, with contemporary ink calligraphic ownership inscription of Edward Guest presented by his father Richard to front free endpaper, modern panelled calf in antique style, red and green morocco labels, [Gaskell 35; Herbert 1210], Birmingham, JohnBaskerville,1769-71; and an attractive but worn green morocco gilt Baskerville Common Prayer of 1761 and 8 others about Baskerville, v.s. (10)
