Hughes (Ted) Five Autumn Songs for Children's Voices, number 16 of 37 copies signed by the author, with a verse in manuscript from the poem 'Who's killed the leaves' to title verso, from an edition of 500, original wrappers, light creasing to lower cover, else fine, [Sagar and Tabor, A18], 1968; Where is the Truth?, first edition, illustrations by R. J. Lloyd, original boards, dust-jacket, fine, 1984; and 3 others, periodicals with contributions by Hughes, v.s. (5)
⁂ Sagar and Tabor note that 'the compilers have not seen an example of the first 37 copies', such is their scarcity. A catalogue issued by Richard Gilbertson states that the poems were first published in the Festival programme in Little Missenden at the request of Pat Harrison, a local teacher, but in fact the texts arrived too late for inclusion, so this booklet constitutes their first appearance. Sagar and Tambor, p.45.
