Punch's Pocket Book , 41 vol., an unbroken run for the years 1843-1881, including a duplicate for 1851, folding hand-coloured etched frontispiece and additional title in each volume (except 1843), wood-engraved plates and illustrations, by John Leech, John Tenniel and others, contemporary writings in some vol. by the Bradburys (including some cartoons and a list of butterflies), original morocco wallets in various designs, some gilt, a few with covers detached, but generally in a good state of repair, rubbed, g.e., Punch Office, 1843-1881; and 2 others, Bradbury & Evans ephemera, small 8vo et infra (43). Sold as a periodical and not subject to return.
⁂ Provenance: The William Bradburys (father and son), both of whom were variously part of the Bradbury & Evans printing and publishing business, who published Dickens and Thackeray's Vanity Fair, and indeed Punch.
