⁂ First part of Perez de Hita's historical novel Historia de los bandos de los Zegries y Abencerrajes, better known as Guerras Civiles de Granada, of which the first part was published in 1595 in Saragossa, and the second part in 1619. It inspired many imitations including Washington Irving's Chronicle of the Conquest of Granada of 1829. The present work includes an account in Dutch verse of the Moorish invasion of Spain.
