English Castles.- English School (19th century) Sheep grazing beside the East Tower of Helmsley Castle, Yorkshire, watercolour on wove paper, inscribed and dated in pencil lower left, indistinctly signed lower right, further signed and inscribed verso, sheet 320 x 485 mm. (12 1/2 x 19 in), under glass, 1855; together with a view of Bamburgh Castle, Northumberland, which was purpotedly the illustration used for Edmund Basil D'Auvergne's 'English Castle', pen and brown ink, watercolour, 90 x 140 mm. (3 1/2 x 5 1/2 in), under glass, some spotting and browning, [circa 1908], (2).
