⁂ The subject of the third item, New Town, was essentially the blueprint for Welwyn Garden City in Hertfordshire, Ebenezer Howard's second English garden city experiment after Letchworth. The R.I.B.A. conference report includes papers by Geddes, Lanchester, Unwin and Howard, garden cities being a topical interest.
