Shakespeare Head Press.- Chaucer (Geoffrey) The Works, edited by A.W.Pollard, 8 vol., number 44 of 375 copies, printed in red, blue and black, hand-coloured wood-engraved illustrations (many in margins) redrawn by Lynton Lamb and others from old manuscripts and woodcuts, wood-engraved lettering for titles, headings and initials designed by Joscelyne Gaskin, later red calf, gilt, t.e.g., others uncut, 1928-29 § Bede, the Venerable. The History of the Church of Englande, translated by Thomas Stapleton, one of 475 copies, printed in red and black, map, Douglas Cockerell note on the binding clipped in with initialled presentation card from Sir Bernhard Binder (very slight marking from paperclip to front free endpapers), original calf-backed marbled boards, uncut, a little rubbed, spine slightly faded, 1930, 4to, Oxford, printed at The Shakespeare Head Press of Stratford-upon-Avon (9)
