South America.- Quecha language.- Davila (Francisco) Tratado de los Evangelios, que Nuestra Madre la Iglesia Propone en todo el Año, 2 vol. in 1, first edition, title extensively repaired and restored with lower portions in facsimile, first 3ff. of text repaired and restored at margins, affecting some text, 2C6-8 and vol.2 f. with portrait of St. Peter supplied in facsimile, other ff. with minor restoration, not affecting text, trimmed at outer margin, affecting printed marginalia, occasional light damp-staining, contemporary calf, rebacked, preserving original backstrip, light wear to corners, folio, [Lima, 1646-48]; sold not subject to return.

First edition of this exceptionally rare work, we can trace no other copy at auction in the last 50 years and only 4 other copies in institutions.
