White (E.Julian, fl. 1920s) A Memorial Chapel; The Headquarters of an Architectural Society; The Portico; A Museum of Palaeontology; A Greek Composition. Five original architectural plans, graphite, watercolour, pen and ink, signed, dated, the majority inscribed: 'University of London', the first two each c. 970 x 640 mm., the latter three each c. 460 x 690 mm., on thick wove paper, various pin holes visible in the corners, one or two small nicks/tears, minor handling creases, light surface dirt, all unframed, [c.1927-1928]; with 13 further plans by the same hand in pen and black ink, some with grey wash, including plans of 'Houses of the Working Class in Scotland', two sheets of studies of architectural details from Greece, six sheets of facades of English churches, and three further English church details and facades executed on waxed linen, various sizes, 570 x 690 mm., and smaller, all unframed; and with an "archive" of notes, albums of drawings and other material in connection with Julian White's training at the Hull School of Art, the School of Architecture, University of London, and his entry into R.I.B.A., and with a quantity of the architect's working tools, including compasses, dividers, various set squares and others (Qty)
