Dodgson (Charles Lutwidge) The Hunting of the Snark, first edition, presentation copy inscribed by the author, wood-engraved plates by Henry Holiday, hinges weak, original pictorial red cloth, gilt, very slight rubbing to spine ends and corners, spine a trifle darkened, else a fine copy, preserved in cloth chemise and morocco-backed cloth slip-case, [Crutch 115], 8vo, 1876.

A fine association copy, inscribed by Dodgson on the day of publication: "William M. Wilcox from his affte. Cousin & Godfather, the Author. Mar. 29. 1876" on half-title. Dodgson's own copy, sold at the sale of his books in 1898, was dated 30th March.
