⁂ A rare work, with an insight into contemporary Lepizig learning through the copious notes of a student. The large woodcut to title depicts a Woodwose, or hairy wild man of the forest, who carries a shield bearing the arms of the city of Leipzig. The setting of the text provides ample room for inter-linear and marginal notes.
