Cicero (Marcus Tullius) Rhetoricorum ad C. Herennium lib. IIII..., collation: *4 a-k8 l4 m-z A-H8 I4, italic type, woodcut printer's device to title and verso of otherwise blank final f., initial spaces with guide-letters, occasional early ink marginalia, title lightly browned and spotted, occasional spotting and finger-marking elsewhere, occasional small areas of water-staining, mostly marginal, antique style calf, gilt, small 4to (210 x 132mm.), [Venice], [House of Aldus & Andrea Torresani], [March, 1514].

⁂ First Aldine edition. The marginal note on *4r seems to suggest a personal familiarity between the author of the note and the printer printer, whom he terms as 'bone Alde'.

Provenance: 'Gregorius Pancianus' (16th century ink inscription to title).
