⁂ A handsomely coloured, but sadly defective copy of a rare edition of this herbal. The woodcuts are mostly reduced copies of Fuchs, Brunfels and others.
The second work is the first edition of Cardano's most important work, that Dibner considers 'Represents the most advanced representation of physical knowledge up to his time and the idea that all creation is in progressive development'. It includes sections on cosmology, machines, mechanics, alchemy, the occult, minerals, metals and cryptology, amongst many others.
