Creation.- Du Bartas (Guillaume de Salluste) La Sepmaine, ou creation du monde, italic type, title with woodcut printer's device, woodcut head-pieces and decorative initials, 2B4 tear within text (without loss), partially repaired in outer margin with tape, water-stained, little worming, mostly to inner gutters, occasional spotting, lightly browned, later endpapers, ?18th century vellum over boards, remains of leather label to spine, soiled, small 4to, Paris, House of Michel Gadoulleau, 1579.

⁂ Scarce edition of this important work on the theme of the Creation. Du Bartas (1544-1590), doctor of law, courtier to Henri of Navarre and poet.
