Estiennes, printers.- Almeloveen (Theodoor Jansson van) De vitis Stephanorum, celebrium typographorum dissertatio epistolica, 2 parts in 1, first edition, small woodcut typographic ornament to title, engraved full-page portrait of Robert Estienne to verso of ✠2, errata f. at end, 20th century red ink ownership stamp of 'Ph. Le Bas' to title, F8 to H3 worming in text at foot, M8 small chip to upper margin, occasional spotting or light staining, lightly browned, contemporary calf, gilt spine in compartments, worn, but holding firm, [Schreiber 293], 8vo, Amsterdam, Janssonius van Waasberge, 1683.

⁂ Rare copy of this biography of the Estienne dynasty of printers. The second part is a bibliography of some 750 works printed by them.
