Authoriz'd by His Majesty King George II, 72pp, signatures A-C12, woodcut frontispiece with advertisement to recto, woodcut illustrations, light foxing and soiling, occasional surface abrasions slightly obscuring image or text, original limp marbled boards, lacking backstrip, rather worn, [cf. Roscoe J324], 24mo, for Carnan and Newbery, at No. 65, in St. Paul's Church-yard, and B. Collins at Salisbury, [?1767].

⁂ Rare edition of this popular primer, seemingly unrecorded by Roscoe. This copy is possibly the same edition offered at Sotheby's, 23rd November, 1978, described as lacking 13 leaves, sold for £60.
