Maugham (William Somerset) The Vagrant Mood, Six Essays, first Trade edition, signed presentation inscription from the author "For Ernest Rasdall W. Somerset Maugham London 13 Nov 1955" to front free endpaper, a few marks, largely to pastedowns and endpapers, some cracking at gutter, original cloth, spine slightly faded, spine ends and corners rubbed and bumped, dust-jacket, spine faded, small loss to lower panel, a few chips and small tears, surface soiling and rubbing, [Scott A74b] 1952; and a signed limited edition of the same in a slip-case, 8vo (2)

⁂ Ernest Rasdall was a collector who, particularly during the 1950s, received inscribed books from prominent writers such as Kingsley Amis, J. R. R. Tolkien, and Somerset Maugham.
