Description

Eberhart (M. G.) Hand in Glove, first English edition, bookplate of Adrian Homer Goldstone on front pastedown, the odd spot on title and a few pp., mostly marginal, light browning to endpapers, original orange cloth lettered in black, spotting to edges, spine ends lightly bumped, slight fading to top edge, dust-jacket priced at 7s. 6d. on upper flap, small tape repair to foot verso, extremities creased, chipped and nicked, small nick to front, not affecting text, 8vo, The Crime Club, 1937.

⁂ The scarce English edition of Eberhart's thriller which was initially published under the name 'Danger in the Dark' by Doubleday in the same year.

Adrian Homer Goldstone (1897-1977), an American book collector based in California, well known for his bibliographies of Arthur Machen and John Steinbeck.
